Municipality of Moravče

The primary purpose of the project is a comprehensive solution to the water supply system in the Municipality of Moravče. The investment includes the construction of new pipelines with the necessary facilities and the addition of a new water source.

The strategic and operational objectives for the area of the municipality of Moravče are: to ensure a reliable supply of good quality drinking water and protection of water resources for the residents of the municipality of Moravče, to ensure adequate quantities of drinking water, reducing water losses, the construction of 6,004 meters of waterproof pipelines and related facilities (4 wells and 2 reservoirs), a new connection of 30 residents and improving the flow and pressure conditions. With these activities the number of people who will benefit from a guaranteed safe access to adequate medical water will be increased by 1,741.

The eastern part of the municipality of Moravče is currently partly supplied with water from the water supply system Črni Graben, and partly from the reservoir Moravče. Because of the elevation angle of the terrain, a connection to the outflow from the reservoir Pogled is required. Additional amounts of water in the system will be ensured by the inclusion of new ČVM-1 wells. The yield of the well will be 5 l / s of water. Moreover, the existing reservoir Podoreh will remain in use with a yield of 2 l / s. The Pogled reservoir will supply water to the whole western part of the Moravče municipality up to Selo pri Moravčah, where the connection with the main pipeline starts.

The remaining part of the municipality (southern and eastern parts) will be supplied with water from the well Ples (10 l/s) from the reservoir Ples. The northern part of the county is supplied from the Črni Graben system. Other sections of the water supply network being built as part of this project are designed to extend the water supply in the municipality where the water supply was not governed by public water supply. New sections will be connected to the water source well Ples, where water will be pumped.

Within the project activities, the following water distribution systems will be built:

  • Soteska - Podstran - Dole pri Krašcah

We will build 1,142 meters of pipelines in the area of the village Podstrana, 988 meters of pipelines in the area Prikrnica and 433 meters in the area of Dol pri Krašči.

  • Hrastnik - Kal – Tlačnica

New pumps will be installed on the existing reservoir Hrastnik, 407 metres of pipelines will be built in the area of Kal, and 966 meters from the village Kal to the reservoir, a hydrant network will be created for fire safety, a water storage with a capacity of 50 m3 will be built on Kal (Velik Hrib), which will provide part of the reserve fire water and will help with the required water supply to cover the daily peak water consumption. A pipeline with a total length of 951 meters will be built for supplying water to Tlačnica hamlet from the Kal reservoir.

  • Podbrdo - Grmače – Dešen

The Podbrdo reservoir will receive a pump installed for pumping water to the new reservoir Grmače. To this end, we will build a water supply connection between the two reservoirs with a length of 523 meters. In addition, we will build a collection tank with a volume of 50 m3, Grmače, with the water pump in the Miklavž reservoir repurpose the Hrib pumping station to a facility for regulating pressure and provide electricity to the Nicholas reservoir.

  • inclusion of new wells in the existing water supply network

To ensure an adequate water supply, we will build a new source of water – to the north of Moravče, the well CVM-1 with a yield of 5 l/s of water will be built. This inflow of water from the new wells will give water supply to the area Moravče and villages in the western part of the Moravče municipality. With the partial reorganization of the water distribution system, water supply to other parts of the water distribution network will be possible.
