Advantages
The purpose of the project Drinking water supply in the area Domžale – Kamnik is:
- reconstruction and construction of some primary pipelines and ancillary facilities that will improve the quality of drinking water,
- solving the existing problems in the field of drinking water supply in the territorial area of the municipality of Domžale, Kamnik, Mengeš, Moravče and Trzin,
- fulfillment of legal obligations for drinking water supply,
- distribution of available water quantities from a variety of sources in order to make it possible that a the supply system will work properly even with the potential loss of a single water source or a part of the whole system due to a malfunction.
The basic objectives of the project Drinking water supply in the area Domžale – Kamnik are:
- connecting new residents to the system of public drinking water supply,
- improve the public drinking water supply, thus, providing better and safer drinking water supply for the residents who are already connected to the public water supply network,
- reduction of water losses,
- to increase the quality of drinking water,
- to increase the available water for fire safety (construction of a network of above ground hydrants)
- Hydraulic improvement of water supply system,
- to improve the living conditions of the population.
