31 August 2016

The Municipality of Kamnik has already received the first grant of over €500,000 for the construction of the southern part of the water supply network. The construction of the water supply network in Tuhinj Valley is currently continuing on the regional road R2-414 / 1349 from Kamnik to Ločica, where at the same time fecal sewage and water supply are being regulated. The first part of the supporting layer of asphalt was laid in the area of Soteska and Vir pri Nevljah, and due to the works, several parts of the regional road are being blocked by partial closures. After the construction of each individual segment of the road, the area of partial closures moves towards the Tuhinj Valley. In autumn and winter, outside the planting season, the work was carried out on agricultural land.

The construction work at the pumping station in Šmartno v Tuhinju is concluding, but mechanical and electrical works still have to be carried out. The project also provides the construction of a new reservoir Šmartno with the capacity of 100 m3 of water. The construction work on the facility is in its final stage. It is followed by the artisanal works that will probably be completed in September. In this year is also planned the construction of the Soteska water reservoir with the capacity of 400 m3. It will put in order the sufficient quantities of water from the central water supply system in the whole area of the Tuhinj valley.
